In The Classroom
Finding the right class for you:
House of Jai has an extensive offering of classes. If you aren't sure which fit you best, we encourage you to meet with one of our helpful and informed Yoga Advisors. Our highly educated and experienced teachers cater to practitioners with all levels of experience, from first timers to seasoned yogis. Our Yoga Advisors will review your previous experience to help you determine which classes are appropriate for you or your child. At House of Jai we look forward to growing with you and your practice.
Hands on adjustments:
Our teachers will offer physical assists to encourage proper alignment when practicing yogasana (posture). If you are uncomfortable with this please let your teacher know before class.
Injuries or pre-existing medical or physical conditions:
Our teachers are trained to help you achieve peak physical performance in your asana practice. It is imperative that you inform them prior to practice of any injuries or pre-existing medical or physical conditions you may have so that your practice can be addressed accordingly.
Arrive 10-15 minutes prior to class:
In order to ensure a focused practice we will close the doors once class begins and there will be no admittance for latecomers. Please arrive early so that you can set up your space, gather your props and speak with the teacher if necessary.
Early leaving:
If you need to leave early from class please inform the teacher in advance so that you can leave before the final Savasana as it is a time for silence and stillness for everyone.
Saucha:
Yoga is all about mindfulness. In Sanskrit, Saucha means cleanliness and is one of the basic tenets of yoga. With this in mind we ask that you come to class with clean clothes and body. Please refrain from applying perfume or scented oils prior to class.
Cell phones:
Please make sure cell phones are silenced at all times throughout the yoga studio.
Props:
At House of Jai we are happy to supply you with top quality mats and props free of charge. Please return them neatly to the designated area.
Retail
Retail items may be returned for store credit provided they are unworn, unused and in good condition.
