Deborah Stotzky, M.S., L.Ac.

Acupuncture + Hot Stone Meridian Therapy

"Where there is no flow there is pain. Where there is flow there is no pain"

Deborah has been practicing Acupuncture + Hot Stone Meridian Therapy in New York since 2000. She is licensed in New York State and certified for twelve consecutive years by the National Certification for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.

Specializing in Myofascial Release Techniques, Deborah's style profoundly relieves pain, releases spasmed muscles, decompresses joints, increases range of motion and improves body function. This style of therapy can be transformative for conditions concerning all areas of our bodies including our knees, legs, hips, ankles, feet, shoulders, necks, backs, arms and hands.

Deborah has created the technique of Hot Stone Meridian Therapy in conjunction with Acupuncture treatments. This unique practice involves the movement of warm, smooth Basalt river stones over the musculature, channels and acu-points of the body to further release muscles, warm the body and provide a profound sense of comfort, relaxation and well being. The combination of Acupuncture + Hot Stone Meridian Therapy takes a typical acupuncture session to a whole new dimension of deep healing and relaxation. And it feels fantastic!

Deborah is highly experienced in the treatment of:
• Digestive, circulatory, neurological, gynecological, urinary, respiratory and reproductive issues
• Tendino-muscular pain and constriction, with rapid and effective relief
• Emotional issues including depression, anxiety and panic attacks
• Pain of various origins
• The facilitation of deep relaxation to help promote healing

During a session with Deborah, she may include various techniques of Chinese Medicine, enabling personalized and effective treatment for each individual client, such as:
• Gua Sha
• Cupping
• Moxabustion
• Medicinal Herbal Therapy

Deborah is also a Vinyasa Yoga and Yamuna Body Rolling Instructor, teaching in the US and Mexico. With her two "partners in crime", she hosts Destination Yoga and Healing Retreats. www.ThreeYogisRetreats.com

Alethea Pace

Swedish & Deep Tissue Massage

Alethea Pace, a native New Yorker, is a licensed massage therapist, yoga teacher and dancer. As a bodywork practitioner in multiple fields, she has developed a keen insight into a client or student's body-mind experience. She aims to work from a place of compassion for this experience, meeting the client where they are while helping them to discover their goals and interests in relation to their physical well-being.

Since graduating from the Swedish Institute in 2006, she has worked as a therapist in a variety of settings including gyms, spas, corporate offices, physical therapy offices and private homes. Alethea's work combines Swedish techniques, myofascial release, trigger point work and joint mobilization to create a session that is both relaxing and therapeutic. She offers a complete postural assessment as well as self-care exercises and stretches to further the benefits of the massage.

Alethea took her first yoga class over ten years ago. What began as a way to warm up before a rehearsal or performance developed into a passion in it's own right. Alethea completed the teacher training certification at OM Yoga in January 2010 though her movement teaching experience extends back to her years as a professional dancer. Her yoga classes are alignment-oriented and cultivate a strong sense of body awareness. She aims to teach with compassion and respect for the individual needs and goals of the student. Derek Cook

Thai Massage

Derek has always worked with his hands. Starting young, as a metalworker and carpenter, he found the transition into bodywork a natural one.

When he decided to leave his first career as an artist in the theatre in search of something more, Derek's travels took him to Asia where he connected with and trained under a teacher from Chang Muay's Old Medicine Hospital - one of the oldest and most prominent school of thai massage in Thailand.

After their paths separated, Derek finished his time in India integrating the work he was shown and upon returning to The States, he began his practice doing Thai Bodywork. After finding Courtney Bauer and her ANYA method, he studied under her, deepening his connection to the healing energy of the work.

Derek's style is one of intuitive healing, both gentle and deep. He works to integrate and mobilize the physical body while accessing and enlivening the more subtle aspects and energies. To learn more about Derek, please visit his website: www.osuohm.com.
